I went to best buy dreaming about appliances I knew I couldn’t buy. But nobody but God blessed me and filled the kitchen with everything I could possibly need. A couple weeks later I found cabinets on the offerup app. I was starting to feel hopeless since every qoute I got was no less than $7000, but I was open to secondhand which blessed me with two sets for less than $800.

My plan it to lightly sand them and do a stain wash to a modern grayed hue.
I was thinking maybe classic grey over the existing color or the grey/jacobean/ special walnut mix.
I decided these cabinets would be the bottom and the top would be these vintage shutter style kraftsman oak I found for $600.
The plan is to sand and stain once again but to also add a 3″ trim boarder of something rustic and knotty. Not sure of the stain color but I imagined something a little on the lighter side.
