Interior Time: Master Super-Suite

As with all of the rooms in this house, the master bedroom has its share of work to be done.  The floor is unlevel by at least 2 inches. There are massive warps in the wood floor and the plaster ceiling is also crumbling.

On the up side it’s attached to a beautiful solarium that also needs a hell of a lot of work.

The bathroom is attached to the master by a door which I plan to close up.  It’s currently a super tiny power room which leaves only 30 inches for a shower. The previous inhabitant knocked out the wall to make an entrance into the power room… clearly they didn’t think things through since nothing was done with the rough opening.

But on the up side the furthest wall 0f the power room can be knocked out to convert the second bedroom into a dressing room. I call this idea the Master Super-Suite.
I’ve been using a free web-based program to design my vision. To be honest I had no idea what to do with that bathroom. Since it was so small plugging the dimensions into program allowed me to really play around with what I can realistically put in there.

This is the same powder room with the toilet quarter turned and a new doorway into the second bedroom (mega dressing room).

The next picture is a top view of how all four rooms will connect. Starting with the master bedroom (center) connecting to the solarium by a new french door opening. The solarium entrance to the bathroom (top left) and the bathroom opening to the new dressing room (bottom left)
